Businessman Abducted with ₹4.5 Lakh in North 24 Parganas; Family Appeals to CM Mamata

A shocking case of abduction has been reported from Baduria, North 24 Parganas, where a local businessman went missing along with ₹4.5 lakh.

The victim, Anarul Islam of Haidarpur village under Bagjola Gram Panchayat, left for Chhatra Bazaar in Cuttack, Odisha, on September 7th (Sunday) for vegetable trading. He was supposed to return on September 9th (Tuesday). Since then, his mobile phone has been switched off, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

The family suspects that miscreants may have kidnapped him along with the money. Despite repeated complaints to the Odisha Police, no progress has been made.

The distressed family has also written to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, seeking her urgent intervention. Local sources confirmed that the matter has been reported to Baduria Police Station, but no breakthrough has been achieved yet.
