NDA candidate C.P. Radhakrishnan emerged victorious, becoming the 15th Vice President of India.

Crossing the required majority of 391, Radhakrishnan was declared elected at 7:30 PM.
This election was necessitated after former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned in July citing health reasons.
