Felicitation Ceremony Held for Successful Candidates of Talent Search Examination in Barasat

Barasat: A felicitation ceremony for students who successfully passed the Talent Search Examination, organized by Sirat Social Welfare Trust, was held at the Vidyasagar Hall of Barasat Municipality. The event was attended by several eminent personalities and educationists.

During the programme, meritorious students were awarded scholarships along with certificates and mementos. Distinguished guests present at the event were also felicitated on the occasion.

The programme was graced by eminent guests including Professor Dr. Abdus Sattar, Vice-Chancellor of Aliah University Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the West Bengal Madrasah Education Board Dr. Azizar Rahman, among others.

On the occasion, the Education Honour 2026 was conferred upon several distinguished individuals, including Dr. Sheikh Kamal Uddin, Principal of Hingalganj College; Hafiz Azizuddin, Secretary of Minority Relief Society; Alhaj Dr. Firoz Uddin Mohammad Shafi, Secretary of Chandpur Aliah Academy Management Council; Dr. Jahedul Sarkar of MR Group of Education; Maulana Anwar Hossain Qasemi of Sundarban Al-Manar Academy; Qari Javed Ali of Madrasah Tajbidul Quran; and Siamat Ali, Secretary of Bengal Minority Forum.

Addressing the gathering, the founder and secretary of the organization, teacher Abu Siddik Khan, stated that the initiative is aimed at identifying and encouraging academic talent among students, and has been consistently organized every year.

It is noteworthy that Sirat Social Welfare Trust was founded by the late Professor Dr. Sohrab Hossain, a renowned educationist of West Bengal. Invited guests assured that the organization would continue to play a vital role in promoting education in the future.
