Health and Eye Check-up Camp Held at Aminpur to Mark 25 Years of Service by Dr. Kabir Ahmed

To commemorate 25 years of uninterrupted service by renowned ophthalmologist Alhaj Dr. Kabir Ahmed, the Minority Relief Society organized a Health and Eye Check-up Camp at Aminpur Bazar, North 24 Parganas. The programme also included a drawing competition, student felicitation and a ceremony honouring distinguished personalities.

Nearly 500 underprivileged patients received free medical and eye care services. Meritorious students were awarded certificates and medals, while eminent personalities were felicitated for their social contributions.

The event was attended by Prof. Wajul Haque, State President of the Bengali Minority Intellectual Forum, as chief guest. Other dignitaries included Maulana Mohammad Kamruzzaman, member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board; Mohammad Sani, IC of Shasan Police Station; former PSC Chairman Debapriya Mallick; and Alhaj Dr. Firoz Uddin Mohammad Shafi, Chairman of the West Bengal Progressive Minority Council.

The programme was conducted by Alhaj Hafiz Azizuddin, Secretary of Minority Relief Society, under the leadership of President Alhaj Md. Shahjahan.
Dr. Kabir Ahmed stated that serving society for 25 years and restoring eyesight to millions has been the greatest satisfaction of his life.
