Mass Joining in Farakka: 1,000 New Faces Inspired by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Join Indian National Congress

In a major political development, nearly 1,000 individuals, including social workers and members of other political parties, joined the Indian National Congress in Farakka, inspired by the ideals of the party and the leadership of AICC Working Committee member Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

The joining event took place in front of the district Congress office, where new members took the Congress flag directly from Mr. Chowdhury and pledged their allegiance to the party.

Speaking at the event, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury stated:

“People are realizing that only the Congress, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, can effectively challenge the BJP-RSS. That's why they are placing their trust in us. Soon, we will launch ‘Voter Rights Conferences’ in every block and subdivision to mobilize against the vote-rigging practices of BJP and TMC.”

Murshidabad District Congress President and former Minister Manoj Chakraborty was also present. He said:

“This mass joining will significantly strengthen our party’s grassroots base across the district.”

On the same day, a Congress workers’ meeting was held in Raghudevpur, Uluberia East constituency of Howrah, where District Rural Congress President Alam Deyaan and leaders like Shafiqul Alam, Chandrama Roy, Firdausi Akhtar, Rivu Sonar, and Haripada addressed the gathering. The meeting was conducted by Siddheshwar Ganguly.
