Pig heads placed in front of mosques in France, two foreign nationals charged

France has charged two foreign nationals in connection with placing nine pig heads in front of several mosques around Paris. Investigations revealed that they bought the pig heads from Normandy and placed them outside mosques in Paris, Montreuil, Montrouge, Malakoff, and Gentilly before fleeing the country.Following the incident, President Emmanuel Macron expressed solidarity after speaking with Muslim representatives. Paris police stated that there may have been foreign involvement in the case.An investigation has been launched on charges of incitement to hatred and religious hostility. Currently, 5 to 6 million Muslims live in France, and recent statistics show that anti-Muslim attacks have increased by 75 percent.
