Protest Rally in Support of Palestinians on September 18 in Kolkata

Bongdarpan Correspondent:To express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people, a large protest rally has been organized in Kolkata on Thursday, September 18, 2025.According to the organizers, the rally will begin at 1 PM from Ramlila Park near Moulali and proceed towards Dharmatala (beside New Market, near Kolkata Municipal Corporation).Various social organizations, human rights activists, and representatives of different ideologies and communal harmony will join this program. According to the organizers, the protest will reflect humanitarian responsibility against the ongoing oppression, persecution, and massacre of Palestinian brothers and sisters, and it will stand as a strong message for peace and justice.Organizers’ AppealIn a joint appeal, the organizers stated that in the recent Israeli aggression, thousands of children and women are being killed. In this situation, it is a religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibility to stand by the Palestinians.Special requests have been made to all mosque imams to inform worshippers about this rally during the Friday sermon (Jumma Khutbah).Signatories to the AppealMany prominent scholars and social activists have signed this appeal, including:

  • Qari Fazlur Rahman, Imam of Eidain, Member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, and President of All India Milli Council, West Bengal

  • Dr. Masihoor Rahman, Ameer Halqa, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, West Bengal
