SSC’s Second Phase Recruitment Exam Conducted Peacefully in West Bengal
Online Bangadarpon – Special Correspondent:
The School Service Commission (SSC) conducted the second phase of recruitment exams today to fill 35,726 vacant posts in state schools.
Held across 478 examination centers on Sunday, the test was for teacher recruitment in Classes XI and XII. Out of 12,514 available posts, nearly 245,500 candidates appeared, including aspirants from outside West Bengal.
Earlier, on September 7, SSC held the first phase of recruitment exams for Classes IX and X. Today’s exam, held on September 14, marked the continuation of the process.
It may be recalled that the previous recruitment panel was scrapped by the court following corruption charges, prompting SSC to restart the entire process.
Education Minister Pratap Basu assured candidates: “Following the Chief Minister’s directions, the government and SSC have taken every measure to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly and fairly.”
