Swadeshi Speeches, Videshi Lifestyles – The Hypocrisy Unveiled
Wearing Italian glasses, flaunting a Swiss watch, writing with a German pen, stepping out in Italian shoes, styled in foreign designer wear, using foreign phones, driving foreign cars, and even flying in Boeing 777s — yet, from such a stage, they preach:
"Buy Indian, Use Indian."
Irony just died a little.
Those who preach self-reliance are themselves utterly dependent on imported luxuries.
Central ministers and MPs send their children to study abroad, live lives soaked in foreign brands, and yet, they urge common Indians to support local products.
But will the "WhatsApp University" students of Nagpur even know what’s Indian and what’s not?
Remember the "Boycott China" movement? Most had no idea what was made in China and what wasn’t.
Personally, I believe in supporting local products.
But the question is – why this sudden call to buy Indian now?
Domestic manufacturers are struggling, demand is low, production is sinking, industries are collapsing.
The economy is gasping.
In the last one year alone, India’s foreign debt has increased by 10%, reaching ₹65 lakh crore.
Each citizen now carries an average debt of ₹1.42 lakh!
What a paradox!
Swadeshi on the lips, videshi in the lifestyle.
