Why Muslims Are Falling Behind: Ignoring the Prophet’s Three Pillars of Progress
By Special Correspondent:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) laid down timeless guidance for the upliftment and prosperity of his Ummah. Among his most emphasized principles were:
1️⃣ Pursuit of Knowledge,
2️⃣ Economic Self-reliance through Trade,
3️⃣ Mutual Cooperation and Brotherhood.
Tragically, large segments of the modern Muslim world have neglected these three foundational values. As a result, the community remains underdeveloped in education, economic power, and global influence.
In contrast, the Jewish community adopted these very principles and integrated them deeply into their way of life. Education is central to their culture—embraced from childhood with a strong focus on science, technology, and research. Consequently, Jewish individuals are at the forefront of global academia and innovation.
They also dominate in business and finance, from international banking to media and trade. But perhaps their greatest strength is unity—wherever they are in the world, Jews support one another, building powerful, resilient communities.
Muslims, on the other hand, suffer from division, lack of education, unemployment, and absence of mutual support. This internal disunity continues to weaken them.
The solution lies in returning to the Prophet’s path. If Muslims can revive these three pillars—education, entrepreneurship, and brotherhood—they can restore their lost dignity and reclaim their rightful place on the global stage.
